Open letter to the electoral commission of Ghana.

 Dear Jean Adukwei Mensah,

As you prepare for tomorrow's critical engagement with stakeholders, we urge you to reconsider the imperative of a forensic audit of the voter's register, a cornerstone of democratic legitimacy.

Transparency at the Crossroads: Accuracy and Credibility Hang in the Balance

The Electoral Commission's commitment to fairness and transparency hinges on the accuracy and credibility of the voter's register. Regrettably, the provisional register's glaring discrepancies and errors have shaken stakeholder confidence, threatening the very foundations of our democracy.

A Forensic Audit:h

The Litmus Test of Transparency

We, therefore implore you to seize this moment to demonstrate unwavering dedication to transparency. A forensic audit is not merely a request; it's an essential safeguard against electoral irregularities.

By conducting a comprehensive examination, you will: 1. Assure accuracy: Eliminate errors and discrepancies. 2. Foster trust: Engage stakeholders in the audit process. 3.Guarantee integrity: Establish a reliable margin of error.

 Tomorrow's Engagement:

A Watershed Moment for Accountability

As you present the voter's register to political parties and stakeholders, I urge you to: Address concerns: Provide concrete solutions to discrepancies. Embrace collaboration: Involve stakeholders in the audit process. Demonstrate accountability: Commit to transparency and fairness.

The Nation Watches:

The Future of Ghana's Democracy Hangs in the Balance. Ghanaians expect a credible electoral process. I urge you to rise to this challenge, ensuring that the Electoral Commission's actions align with the sacred principles of democracy.

 Sincerely,

Umar Harris, Founding President
