H.E DR CNN - MENSAH APPOINTED COUNTRY HEAD, USA OF THE INTERNATIONAL YOUTH NETWORK FOR THE UN SECURITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION 2250
H E Evangelist Dr Charles Nimmo Ntiamoah - Mensah, also known as Dr. CNN, has Sworn - in as The Country Head of The USA Chapter of International Youth Network for UN Security Council Resolution 2250 ( IYNUNSCR2250).
The US Chapter of the International Youth Network for UN Security Council Resolution 2250 ( IYNUNSCR2250) was inaugurated at West Palm beach in Florida on November 11, 2023.
The first Session of The Global Youth General Assembly held series of events including The Declaration of the USA as the Headquarters and The Inauguration and Swearing - in of appointees of the USA Chapter of IYNUNSCR2250.
H.E. Lady Rev. Lilian Sally Addo, Global President of International Youth Network for UN Security Council Resolution 2250 was on hand to welcome the new appointees and took them through orientation before the swearing in ceremony.
She took them through diplomacy lessons and also made them aware of the expectation required of their new offices.
She also announced that the United States is now the Headquarters of the International Youth Network for UN Security Council Resolution 2250 ( IYNUNSCR2250).
H.E Lady Rev Lilian Sally Addo introduced the new appointees to the Global Patron H.E Dr Phillip Phinn and Board members present, Hon Hopeson Adorye, H E Rev Dr Asie Kabuki Ocansey and H E Rev Dr Devon Anthony Bannister.
H.E Evangelist Dr. Charles Nimmo Ntiamoah Mensah (Mr. CNN), Country Head of the USA Chapter, on behalf of his colleagues, expressed appreciation to the Board and assured them that he would rally them to discharge their duties honorably expected.
Hon Raphaelle David Antwi and Hon Regina Silas were sworn in as Special Advisor to The Global President and 2nd Deputy Special Envoy, respectively, and Hon Akua Antwiwaa Fordjour, Global Director for Conferences and Travelling.
The following personalities were sworn in as new appointees of the USA Chapter, Hon Honorable Sharon Mireku, 1st Deputy County Head, and Hon Mrs Patience Imabong Osages, 1st vice Chair, New York.
Others were Hon George Kwasi Bright, Executive Director Public Relations and Programs, Hon Fiona Brown, Programs Director VA, Hon Kingsley Abeiku Amoah, 1st Vice Chairman NJ and Hon Yaa Acheampomaa Ofran, 2nd Vice Chairperson, NJ.
The rest are Hon Thomas Yankey, Georgia Chair, Hon Nina Rica Ealdama, 4th Deputy Country Head, Hon Prophetess Arimetha Smith, Ohio Chairperson, and Hon Rev Dr Ebenezer Kyere Nkansah - Chairman, Maryland.
Hon Abimbola Olukoju, 1st Deputy Board Chair, Nigeria was also sworn in.
H.E Sally Addo said that, “On 9 December 2015, the United Nations Security Council unanimously adopted Resolution 2250 on Youth, Peace and Security (YPS)".
This resolution, she noted, is the first to recognize the importance and positive role young women and men play in the maintenance and promotion of international peace and security.
In order to bring awareness and support the implementation of UNSCR2250, the inter - agency Working Group on Youth and Peace building, its members and partners, supported the following activities in 2016.
The Global President also made a general call and invited the public to join the Network and contribute their quota to make the world a better place, peaceful and secured.
