As residents of the Tano North constituency, many of us have taken keen interest in the work of our Member of Parliament, Dr. Gideon Boako.

Having personally monitored his performance throughout 2025, I write without fear or favour to share a good story, one that reflects dedication, competence, and genuine service to the people.

Born in December 1983, Dr. Gideon Boako is a Financial Economist and a politician whose impact has been remarkable, despite being barely a year into his four-year mandate.
As a fresher in Parliament, he is among the few Members from the Minority side selected to debate the national budget and key economic policies of government. He has also led a series of press conferences on finance and the economy, contributing meaningfully to national discourse.

Dr. Boako’s parliamentary work goes beyond policy debate. On Tuesday, 25th February 2025, his statement on the floor of Parliament on “recent killings by police and private security details of Newmont Gold Ahafo Mines in Kenyasi” was captured in the Hansard of the House, demonstrating his courage to speak on sensitive issues affecting lives and communities in the Ahafo Region.

Within the Tano North constituency, his development record is steadily growing. Dr. Boako has initiated several economic development policies and infrastructure projects in education, health, water and sanitation, and drainage systems. Some of these projects have been completed, while others are ongoing, all aimed at improving living conditions for constituents.

One intervention that stood out was his response to reports that students of the Adrobaa TVET School were sleeping on the floor. Dr. Boako promptly visited the school and later provided all the beds required, restoring dignity and comfort to the students.

His commitment to youth empowerment is further seen in the organization of a Football Scouting Tournament across the constituency. This initiative brought together young talents in competitive football, fostering unity, discipline, and hope for future opportunities.

Dr. Gideon Boako has also demonstrated strong support for local culture and collaboration. He earlier donated GHC10,000 as seed capital to the Tano North Municipal Assembly towards the organization of the TanoFest programme and called for enhanced stakeholder collaboration for the overall development of the municipality.

What truly distinguishes Dr. Boako is his energy and availability. He is visibly active both in Parliament and in the constituency. From clean-up exercises to church programmes, weddings, naming ceremonies, and community events within and beyond Tano North. His presence has become a source of encouragement to many.

The feedback from residents has been consistently positive. Dr. Gideon Boako’s performance in barely one year in office has been creditable, and it is clear that he is well-positioned to deliver even more within his four-year mandate.

Tano North residents are proud of you, Dr. Boako. You are truly sacrificing for the constituency, and we are grateful. Our prayer is that God continues to grant you strength, wisdom, and energy to sustain this admirable level of service.
