A 24 hour National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) accredited facility, licensed by Health Facility Regulatory Authority (HeFRA), Sompa Mensah Medical Centre has been commissioned at Okyerekrom near Ejisu in the Ashanti region, Ghana.

The medical facility is established to address worrying situation of the absence of a medical center in the community and to offer an up-to-speed health care delivery to people within its catchment area.

SERVICES RENDERED

24Hours Medical Facility, accredited by the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), and Licensed by HEFRA, provides General and Specialised.

Services rendered at the facility include General Health Care, Family Planning, Physiotherapy, Antenatal/ Post Natal Services, Urology, Ambulance, Pharmacy, Maternity (including Delivery) Dental Services, Emergency Services and Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Services and ECG.

The rest are Scan Services, Dermatological (Skin) Services, Laboratory Services, Ultra Sound Services(including Blood Transfusion), Child Care Service, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Nutrition (Dietitian Services), Wound Care Services, Specialist Care (Including Fertility Services), and Ophtalmology Eye Clinic.

VISION ACCOMPLISHED

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr Mensah Adu Gyamfi, in his remarks during the official commissioning, indicated that the facility is a fulfllment of a vision he had 15 years ago.

He indicated that through divine promptings and God's provision, he decided to convert his multi-million mansion into a medical center.

“My family spent over millions of Ghana cedis in putting up this mansion and we have given it out to offer medical services to humanity".

DURBAR OF DIGNITARIES

Gracing the commissioning were staff of the Municipal Health Directorate, Health Facilities Regulatory Authority (HFRA), opinion leaders among others.

Regional Director for HeFRA, Dr Paul Gyan in his address described the facility as timely and a laudable intervention since it supports government's efforts towards ensuring that all Ghanaians have access to health care.

Speaking on behalf of the Municipal Health Director, Eric Twumasi thanked Mr Mensah for citing the location of the center within the Ejisu Municipality.

He urged residents to make good use of the center by visiting it frequently for medical check ups.

Sompa Mensah Medical Centre Ltd, a 100 per cent Customer Care facility is located Near Akokoamong or Ekyem and Aboagye Estate, Okyerekrom - Kumasi.
