Ing Peter Antwi Bosiako Writes : John Mahama and NDC's Sudden Show Of Support For Free Senior High School Programme Is A Camouflage
Ing Peter Antwi Bosiako is the Deputy Director - General of CTVET

Ing Peter Antwi The NDC sponsored over 50 advertisements against the Free SHS in the runup to 2016 general elections when Prof Naana Jane Opoku - Agyemang was the Minister for Education under President John Mahama's administration.

Even the NDC attempted to stop the implementation of the Free SHS policy through the Supreme Court. JDM despised the results of the West Africa Senior secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) saying that teachers and invigilators aided the students to cheat.

The current Flag bearer of the NDC also stated that it was not wise to pump - in a whooping GH¢2 billion into the FSHS programme alone noting "I will review it under my next government".

Mr Fiifi Quertey, the current General - Secretary of the opposition NDC, led series of massive protests against the introduction of the milestone and historic education policy stressing that every member of NDC opposed the FSHS.

Today, the NDC again has vowed to kick against Akufo - Addo - led government’s decision to present the Free Senior High School Bill to Parliament in the coming days, aimed at regulating the policy and ensuring its sustainability.

The NDC's sudden show of support for the Free SHS policy is a total camouflage and that Ghanaians should not believe them adding "John Mahama will cancel the policy if he is handed over power".

The NDC has opposed every single social and economic intervention programmes initiated by the NPP government including the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), oil recovery, Ghana card and other digitalisation policies.

About 1.3 million students under the policy are fed three times daily, provide uninterrupted water supply, electricity and other expenses by the government under the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Results of the FSHS policy has improved tremendously because of the quality, affordability and conveniences and that such a milestone programme should be protected.

The management and sustainability of the policy depends on intelligent and creative minds of NPP who are the brain behind it saying that NDC members are novices in quality education formulation and growth.

The huge amount of money invested in the free secondary education by the government is unprecedented and it takes bold leaders with bold decisions to do it.

Every individual Ghanaian I have met in my tour around the country has promised to vote massively for the NPP in appreciation to the implementation and sustainability of the policy.
