A Ghanaian inventor, Samuel Ebo Ghanny, CEO of Creative Warrior Metal Company, has been hailed as a hero in La Côte d'Ivoire for his innovative cocoa pod breaking machine, Noghusam Machine.

The machine, which simplifies the process of breaking cocoa pods, has been praised as a game -changer by farmers in the region.

Farmers simply load the pods into the feeder, and NOGHUSAN rolls over, swiftly breaking the pods, separating the husks, and neatly extracting the bean efficiently, safely, and effortless - qualities that are rewriting the narrative of cocoa farming machine's performance has been nothing less than spectacular.

Unlike the tedious process of manual breaking of cocoa pods which demands significant time, effort, and manpower, NOGHUSAM handles the entire process in a fraction of the time.

For farmers, this means reduced labor costs, enhanced productivity, and a safer working environment.

The social impact of NOGHUSAM is equally ground - breaking. In many farming communities, children are often pulled out of school to help their families break cocoa pods, hired as labourers to meet the demands of harvest.

Cocoa farming has long been the backbone of Ghana's economy, but beneath its rich contributions lies a grueling challenge: the labor -intensive process of breaking cocoa pods act the beans.

For decades, this task - done with cutlasses and bare hands - has drained time, resources, and safety. It's a struggle familiar to countless rural families in the cocoa growing communities in many African countries.

Motivated by a deep desire to improve lives and revolutionize the agricultural sector, Mr Ghunney invented NOGHUSAM cocoa pod breaking machine poised to change the face of cocoa farming ever.

As a young boy, Mr Ghunney often watched his grandmother endure the stressful task of manually breaking cocoa pods after harvest.

Armed with a cutlass, she and her laborers would spend countless hours hacking away at the pods to extract the precious beans. The process was not only slow but also risky, with sharp tools posing constant dangers.

Young Samuel himself joined the effort, experiencing first - hand the exhaustion efficiency of this manual labour. But where others saw tradition, Mr. Ghunney saw opportunity. He dreamed of a solution that could spare farmers like his grandmother the toil of pod breaking.

Determined to bring his vision to life, he enrolled in the Winneba Vocational Technical Institute (WVTI), where he acquired the technical expertise to design and build what would become NOGHUSAM.

From its inception in 2019 to its completion and launch in 2021, NOGHUSAM has been reaching short of revolutionary. This machine doesn't just break cocoa pods, it redefines great extraction process. With NOGHUSAM, this narrative has changed.

The machine eliminates the need for excessive labor, allowing children to focus in their education and creating opportunities for them to build brighter futures. It's not just a machine, it's a tool for social transformation.

The recognition of its potential to benefit cocoa farmers worldwide, NOGHUSAM was sent to conduct further testing at Cote d'Ivoire, one of the largest cocoa growing country.

Farmers in Côte d'Ivoire marvelled at quality, speed, and ability to preserve the integrity of the cocoa beans. This successful demonstration and additional test cemented NOGHUSAM's status as a ground -breaking innovation.

Despite its success, NOGHUSAM faces a hurdle that many great inventions encounter: Currently, only a few units have been manufactured due to limited financial resources. However, this challenge hasn't dimmed Mr Ghunney's vision.

He remains committed to scaling production and ensuring that NOGHUSAM reaches farmers across Ghana and beyond. With the right support, this invention could become a cornerstone of achieving a lot and improving the agricultural sector especially cocoa farming.

NOGHUSAM is more than a machine - it's a symbol of resilience, ingenuity, and hope. Mr Ghunney's invention promises to reshape not just cocoa farming but also the entire life of those who depend on it.

By reducing labor costs, saving time, and eliminating risks and associated impacts on farmers, NOGHUSAM empowers farmers to achieve more with less.

Cocoa farming industry is no stranger to tradition, but with NOGHUSAM, the future is very bright. This groundbreaking invention has the potential to redefine what is possible, set standard for efficiency and sustainability in agriculture.

Cocoa farmers and stakeholders in Côte D'Ivoire have been impressed by the efficiency of the Noghusam machine and have expressed their desire to retain Samuel Ebo in the country to help improve their cocoa production.

Samuel Ebo expressed his disappointment with the Ghanaian authority's lack of support for his invention, despite its potential to revolutionize the cocoa industry.

As Samuel Ebo continues to receive accolades in Côte D'Ivoire, the question remains: will the Ghanaian authority take notice and support this innovative idea?

He expressed gratitude to Nana Opoku Kwarteng, Mr Alexander Afenyo Markin (MP of Efutu), Dr James Kofi Annan (NDC PC of Efutu) and the Late Felix Ewusie Brookman among other people for supporting his activities and programmes.
