A SYNOPSIS OF THE PLAY

John Avom has risen from poverty to become a successful businessman in Bolgatanga. 

He fell in love with his wife Margaret while she was about to complete Senior High School and he about to get a degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). 

Their marriage has been blessed with three teenagers, all in boarding

secondary schools now. They are two girls and a boy.

But all is not well in the Avom home. He is recently been diagnosed with a serious liver disease from which recovery is slim. 

His partner for his bacchanalia is his girlfriend, Cecilia. The Bolgatanga hospital has just discharged him home for palliative care.

While his devoted wife cares for him, his mind returns to the past, to the happy days: their young

love, their new matrimonial home.

Mr. Avom promises that he will lead a less errant life if he ever recovers from his disease. 

But he does not believe that he will ever recover from his illness, so he instructs Margaret and her pastor on his funeral arrangements.

In the end, it seems he is been thrown a lifeline. What will he do?

The much awaited play is slated for 13th and 14th October, 2023 in the E.T.S Drama Studio at the University of Ghana, Accra. It will be staged 7pm each day at a cool rate of GH¢20.
