ONE AFRICA INITIATIVES HOSTS MASTERCLASS ON THE ART OF NEGOTIATION AND PERSUASION

One Africa Initiatives (OAI), an advocate for African empowerment, on June 25 this year, held a Masterclass on the Art of Negotiation and Persuasion (ANP).
It provided participants with the skills to influence others, reach mutually beneficial agreements, and achieve desired results, and that such skills can be used in both professional and personal situations.
The Masterclass which was held online via Zoom, brought together prominent business persons, entrepreneurs, and youth advocates with years of experience as guest speakers including Mr Danso Darko, the Ghana - Country Coordinator for OAI.
Others were Mr Tunde Adebayo (Nigeria), a business Manager with three decades of diverse experience and Apiyo Ramto Flavia (Uganda), the Founder and CEO of JUGENDKRAFT Youth Power Foundation, Uganda - Country Coordinator OAI and Co - Founder of Africa Summit on Youth Employment (ASYE).
The Ghana - Country Coordinator of OAI, Mr Danso Darko, said beneficiaries were taken through topics including mastering negotiation techniques for win - win outcomes, building rapport and effective communication during negotiations, and influencing and persuading others.
He noted that the meeting was open to everyone regardless of their occupation, social status, background, or experience.
"Participants had the opportunity to ask questions, discuss their goals and challenges with the guest speakers, and network with other liked minded individuals" he added
Mr Danso Darko, who is also the Founder and Leader of Youth Emancipation Forum (YEF), said upon completion of the Masterclass, participants received a certificate of attendance to showcase their commitment to personal and professional development.
The Ghana - Country Coordinator stated that One Africa Initiatives has been hosting master classes on its social media platform for Africans, providing a space for people to connect, learn, and grow.
Mr Danso Darko emphasised that it was the mission of OAI to building platforms and bridges that bring together and empower all of African descent towards thinking and acting in the African interest first, and playing their part in the emergence of the Africa we can all be proud of.
" we want to unite Africa, all people of African origin and her resources both human and material, towards the modernisation of the African continent, driven by and owned by Africans and has been transformed to a continent at par with any other" he stated.
Mr Danso Darko indicated that the values of One Africa Initiatives namely African brotherhood, selfless leadership, self reliance, problem - solving education, integrity and creativity keep them focus in achieving their mission.
