Tepa A/R - 120 Head teachers of Basic Schools awarded for selfless contribution to positive learning outcomes

Basic school Headteachers in the Ahafo Ano North in the Ashanti Region ended the year in a grand style by awarding all serving headteachers in the Municipality.

The occasion was graced by the Municipal Director of Education in the Area, Mrs Grace Oppong Agyapong and her team from the Education Directorate.

Each head teacher in the municipality received a fowl, 5kg of rice and 1.5 litres of oil for the Yuletide.

Headteachers who have served the municipal for ten years and above also received a certificate in addition to motivate them for their hard work.

Presenting the items and the certificates, the municipal COHBS Chairman for Ahafo Ano North, Mr Daniel Kofi Kyei ,an Entrepreneur and a businessman, advised his colleague headteachers to work hard to ensure the socio - economic growth of their communities.

The Municipal Chairman disclosed that a total of 120 headteachers received the items. Speaking to the Media at the program, Mrs Grace Oppong Agyapong expressed her joy and appreciation to the COHBS executives, and the entire Headteachers for such a wonderful programme.

She again prayed to the Most High for protection of her Staff, Headteachers and teachers throughout the festivities and a safe return to the various schools and classrooms come 9th January 2024.

The Municipal Director also indicated that "what we are witnessing today would enhance teaching and learning in the municipality".

One of the Headteachers, Mr Abass Alhassan, a beneficiary and COHBS Vice Chairman, also expressed his joy and the need to do such gestures for headteachers and again asked for more in the coming years.
