Elections 2024 : NPP Belgium Congratulates Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh On His Selection As Vice Presidential Candidate

 The New Patriotic Party (NPP), Belgium Branch, wishes to congratulate Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Minister of Energy on his selection as the running mate for election 2024.

In a release signed by S.D Oduro, the NPP Belgium Branch Secretary, on July 4, 2024 said the overwhelming confirmation from the National Council, which is the second highest decision - making body of the party, is a sign of unity.

As provided by the party’s constitution, Mr Oduro indicated “the Presidential Candidate in consultation with the National Council shall nominate the Vice Presidential candidate".

He expressed appreciation to the Presidential Candidate, Dr Bawumia, for his thorough consultation with the party’s hierarchy, which has led to the unanimous endorsement of the Vice Presidential candidate.

 The Secretary noted that his outfit has noticed that the nomination of Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Manhyia North Member of Parliament (MP), has energised the base and brought life to the party’s grassroots.

Mr S.D Oduro emphasised that It was indeed in the right direction for the NPP to break the eight - year electoral cycle in the country.

"The NPP Belgium, understands the task ahead, and we acknowledge that a collective effort is required from every patriot to come on board as we seek the mandate of Ghanaians"

 "We cannot sit aloof for the opponent to use propaganda to change the mindset of Ghanaians. We all believe that Mahama is not an option for the development of Ghana. Let all patriots join hands to victory" the release added.

Mr Oduro implored the rank and file of the party to bury their differences in order to come together and work to break the eight - year government genes saying that "it is possible with Bawumia and NAPO".
