The Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) and Co - Develop Fund have trained Journalists in Ghana on Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) and Digital Public Goods (DPGs) on Tuesday August 27,2024 via Zoom video conference.

MFWA is an Accra - based regional independent, non - profit, Non - Governmental Organisation (NGO) which campaigns against violations and attacks on freedom of the press in West Africa.

Co - Develop is a global non - profit fund helping countries accelerate their digital transformation journeys, by leveraging safe and inclusive shared digital public infrastructure at scale for 50 countries in the next five years.

The training workshop featured Mr Garikai Nhongo, Senior Communications Manager for Co - Develop Fund as the speaker.

The webinar forms part of activities marking the launch of phase 2 of the MFWA's DPI Journalism Fellowship, providing valuable insights into the concepts of DPI and DPGs, specifically tailored for Journalists in Ghana.

Some benefits of the fellowship included training and mentorship opportunities, monthly stipend for fellows, and funding support for partner Newsrooms under DPI/DPGs Newsroom partnership programme.
