SENE WEST DISTRICT: NGO ORGANIZES SEMINAR FOR WOMEN ASPIRING FOR LEADERSHIP POSITIONS

Duapa Mothers Union, a Non -Governmental Organization (NGO), with fundings from Star Ghana Foundation, has organized a - day's  workshop for women aspiring for various leadership positions in the Sene West District of the Bono East Region.

It was held on October 12, 2023 at Kwame Danso, the district capital in the Bono East region on the theme,"women inclusion and social equity".

The Project Manager, Duah Philip in an interview with Journalists after the workshop, said the association embarked on the training with the aim of motivating women to develop an appetite for politics and other leading roles in society.

Mr Duah stressed on some of the misconceptions characterizing women aiming for power and called on stakeholders to encourage, check qualities of women and support them.

Some of the women in attendance expressed their willingness to participate in the oncoming local governance elections, with the skills and knowledge acquire in the training workshop.
