TANO SOUTH MCE ADJUDGED THE MOST OUTSTANDING MDCE IN AHAFO REGION

Collins Offinam Takyi, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Tano South in the Ahafo region, has be adjudged the most outstanding Municipal and District Chief Executive (MDCE) in the region.

The award was conferred on him at the maiden Ahafo Region's edition of the Career Excellence Awards (CEA) held on Friday, 22nd September, 2023 at the Victory Centre Assemblies of God Church at Goaso.

The award scheme identified men and women who have excelled in their careers or chosen professions in various fields.

Meanwhile, Grace Afia Manu Amponsah, a Nurse from the Tano South municipality, won the Most Outstanding Nurse/Midwife in the Ahafo Region.

The event was attended by the clergy, media practitioners, business executives, traditional authorities, political leaders, government organizations and the public among others.

It was chaired by the Paramount Chief of Goaso Traditional Council (GTC), Nana Kwasi Bosomprah 1, who congratulated the winners and urged them to double their performance in their respective fields in the years ahead.

He expressed gratitude to the organisers of the awards scheme, Career Excellence Awards, for their effort to celebrate hard work and sacrifice in the newly created Ahafo region.

The Chief noted that "a nation who do not honour its heroes and heroines was not dying for" and that awards encouraged and projected winners to do more to win more.

Nana Kwasi Bosomprah bemoaned the deplorable States of the major roads in the region, high unemployment rate, inadequate health facilities and educational infrastructure among other economic challenges of residents.

He entreated residents of Ahafo region especially natives both local and abroad, to contribute their quota to the growth and development of the newly created region emphasising "together we can make Ahafo great and strong".
