Weaker, retrogressive governments shiver anytime Prof PLO Lumumba is scheduled to visit their country -- PLO Lumumba Foundation, Ghana Chapter

Weaker and retrogressive governments are always found wanting anytime there is an announcement of Prof PLO Lumumba visiting their country, the Ghana Chapter, PLO Lumumba Foundation, has stated.

It added that the Founder and Chairman of the PLO Lumumba Foundation, Professor Patrick Loch Otieno (PLO) Lumumba is one of the greatest, dedicated and committed Pan Africanist in Africa currently.

His thought provoking speeches, eluding assertions, factual statements and critically analysed illustrations, according to the Foundation, sends shocking waves to the length and breadth of the continent.

According to the Foundation, the youth in Africa resonates with his intriguing messages which are crafted to meet the current developmental needs of Africa.

In a statement released to the Press on Saturday, January 13, 2024, signed by Razak Awudu, Ghana - Country Director in Accra, said due to his high reputation and unblemished integrity, he is always beyond fabrications and mere gimmicks. Recently, he noted,

Prof Patrick Lumumba received an invitation from the New Africa Foundation, an organisation based in Ghana with a mission of solving the socio -economic issues of Africans by using Africa - centered solutions.

Mr Razak Awudu stated that Prof Lumumba was tasked to speak on developing the potentials of young Africans to be economically independent through entrepreneurship and promote the Pan African spirit among young people.

Other speakers such as Dr Arikana Chihombouri - Quao, Mr Peter Obi and Juilius Malema were also invited to speak on similar topics.

It further said, "The event (A.K.A "the Convention") was unfortunately cancelled by the government of Ghana with a reason of "an unforseen state event being organised at the same venue", thus the Independence Square in Accra".

The Ghana - Country Director emphasised that Prof PLO Lumumba departed Accra on the 8th of January, 2024, a day after the event was cancelled.

The statement urged the public to disregard any fabrications, falsification, unfounded truths, and figments of imagination statements emanating from people aligned to imperialism and colonialism.

Mr Razak Awudu stressed that the fight against neo - colonialism and imperialism is alive and real but the selfless efforts of young people with Pan - African ideals shall always prevail.

Long live Africa, long live Pan Africanism, long live Kwame Nkrumah, long live PLO Lumumba!
