Ebenezer Kwaku Addo, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for Asutifi North Constituency, has trained over 200 women and young persons in employable skills.

 The beneficiary residents were taken through soap making, cake preparation, weedicides production, hairdressing, bakery, fast food making and liquid soap production among others.

 Residents from Goamu zone namely Akosakrom, Kenyasi No 3, Camp, Yawbrefo, Kramokrom, Kensere, Koforidua among other communities in Ahafo region received the various training modules.

 According to the PC, the skills training programme was aimed at empowering women and young persons in his constituency to become economically viable to positively impact their lives, family and society.

 Mr Kwaku Addo further indicated that the programme was aimed at lessening the unemployment situation in the Asutifi North area.

 "This is my widow's mite to support the economic development of residents of the enclave"

"I am committed to ensuring the full realisation of the transformational agenda the people of Asutifi North have been craving for" he stressed.

Alberta Effah, on behalf of the beneficiaries, thanked Mr Kwaku Addo for his kind and timely gesture as an aspiring Member of Parliament (MP).

Mr Kwaku Addo would be a caring, hardworking, loyal and God - fearing parliamentarian if given the chance to serve the Asutifi North Constituency, Isaiah Mireku, a beneficiary, said.

Meanwhile, the training programme is set to hit other zones of the constituency soon.
