GAMP 2024 Season 2 Launched Titled Impact Through Give - Back - the Alumni Factor

The Ghana Alma Mater Programme (GAMP) season 2 has been launched on the theme, "impact through give - back : the alumni factor" on July 31, 2024 in Accra.

It has Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum (MP), the Minister of Education as the special Guest of honour and Md Mawusi Nudekor Awitey, Director - General of Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) Services as chairperson.

The Guest Speaker for the well - attended event was Mr Benjamin Adjaben , President of APTI Ghana.

Togbe Dzidoah 1, the National Coordinator for GAMP, said his outfit is an annual national school support challenge that seeks to competitively mobilise the financial contributions of old students of all second cycle schools in Ghana towards meeting the development support desires of their former schools (alma maters).

He indicated that the programme was initiated to act as a catalyst to development of former schools in the country.

The National Coordinator the categories of the challenge includes the alma mater school of the year, best category 'A' school of the year (National) and best category 'B' school of the year (National).

Others are the best category 'C' school of the year (National), special prizes (National) and best category schools (Regional).

Togbe Dzidoah 1 stated that awards for the winners of the challenge gets gold for first placed school, silver for second and bronze for third placed school.

He commended sponsors and partners of the event including Chango, Envoy Ghana, Power Factor Limited, Adonai Estates Limited and Verdant Global among others.

The National Coordinator for GAMP implored all and sundry to contribute their widow's mite to make the challenge a success adding that "my alma mater, my passion, my impact".
