AKYEM ODA MARKET WOMEN RECEIVE 1,000 RAIN COATS FROM ASSEMBLY MEMBER

The Assembly Member of Oda Nkwanta Electoral Area in the Akyem Oda Constituency of the Eastern region, Dennis Obeng Agyei, has provided 1,000 rain coats for market women in Akyem Oda.
The women engaged in trading activities in the central market of Akyem Oda in an open space after their market got burnt.
Mr Dennis Obeng Agyei in an interview with the media disclosed that he saw the need to provide the market women with rain coats as they always get wet anytime it rains since they trade in an open space.
He added that though the government has started the reconstruction of a new market for the women, the progress of work was slow and that he pleaded with the contractor to speed up work for the traders to move in on time as scheduled.
The Market Queen Mother (MQM) of Akyem Oda Central Market, Mad Agatha Agyiri, on behalf of the market women, after receiving the rain coats, expressed appreciation to Mr Obeng Agyei for his timely gesture adding "posterity will forever be grateful to you".
Mr Clement Attafuah, the Presiding Member for Birim Central Assembly, and Mr Yaw Adu, an Assembly Member, said the situation in Akyem Oda market was unbearable anytime it rains thus the need for the rain coats.
