Colonel (Lawyer) Kwadwo Damoah hails from Kwameseikrom, a border town in the Jaman South Municipality of the Bono region of Ghana.
He had his Basic Education at Kwameseikrom Roman Catholic Primary and Middle Schools. Secondary Education at Drobo Secondary School.
He was the first student of Drobo Secondary School to obtain Division One with distinction at the West African Examination Council General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (GCE O LEVEL).
He had his Sixth - form Education at St Augustine's College in Cape Coast where he obtained his GCE Advanced Level Certificate.
Colonel Kwadwo Damoah entered the then Prestigious School of Administration of University of Ghana (now University of Ghana Business School) where he was awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree in Administration ( Accounting Option).
After teaching at Drobo Secondary School for two years( 1982- 84), Colonel Damoah joined the Ghana Armed Forces and was commissioned as a Lieutenant, rose through the ranks and was honorably retired as a Colonel in 2010.
While in the military Colonel Damoah pursued several academic and professional courses and was awarded Executive Master of Business Administration and Master of Arts International Affairs by University of Ghana in 2002 and 2005 respectively.
Colonel Damoah was called to the Ghana Bar in October 2006 and thus qualified as a Barrister at Law and Solicitor after the requisite professional course at Ghana School of Law, and now a practising lawyer with Amet Le Grand Law Firm in Accra.
He taught law and business at Zenith University College in Accra from 2010 to 2018, became a Member of Ghana Institute of Directors in 2007 and was made a Fellow of the Institute of Directors in 2022.
Colonel Kwadwo Damoah, a multi - lingual, was awarded DALF C1 and C2 Certificates in French by Alliance Française d' Accra in 2010 and 2011 respectively. He is also a Member of the Ghana institute of Human Resource Management.
Lawyer Damoah was appointed a Board Member of Ghana Revenue Authority ( GRA) in May 2017, as a Technical Adviser to the Commissioner General of GRA as additional responsibility in October 2017 and was made the Acting Commissioner of Customs in May 2019.
He was confirmed as the Commissioner of Customs in May 2020 until 29th August, 2022 when his contract as Commissioner came to an end.
Colonel Lawyer Damoah started commercial farming in 2012 and owns a cashew farm and a cattle ranch near Korase in the Jaman South Municipality .
He lives, dreams, works and cares so much about the development and prosperity of the people and area of Jaman Municipality. He has been tried, tested and certified as a true patriotic public and private servant of Ghana.
He now wants to sacrifice and concentrate his efforts, energies and much accrued lifetime experience for the people of Jaman Municipality, and now is the time.
