The Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in charge of Operations, Produce Buying Company Limited (PBC), Mr Alfred Ofori Anye, has promised to unite all factions in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Wenchi Constituency to win back the parliamentary seat come 2024.
He noted that disunity, apathy and lack of peace among the leaders, supporters, and Council of Elders of the NPP in the Constituency, contributed to the lost of the seat to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2020 elections.
Mr Ofori Anye disclosed these at Wenchi in the Bono region, during an interaction with delegates and supporters of the party, when he submitted his nomination forms to contest in the upcoming parliamentary primaries.
He expressed disappointment with the rank and file of the party in the constituency for winning the Presidential election with a huge margin but lost the parliamentary seat in 2020.
Mr Ofori Anye, a native of Akrobi in the Wenchi Municipality, holds International Executive Masters in Business Administration – Banking and Finance, and a Post Graduate Certificate in Management (IPMA) from Paris Graduate School of Management.
The Deputy CEO has served the NPP since 1996 from Polling Station to higher ranks, elected President of the Brong - Ahafo Students' Union (BASU), and Secretary of the Tertiary Education Students Confederacy of NPP (TESCON).
He subsequently became the Brong - Ahafo Regional Youth Organiser of the NPP from 2005 to 2009 and Brong - Ahafo Regional NPP Secretary from 2009 to 2016.
Mr Ofori Anye stressed that he is the unifier and peacemaker among all the aspirants, and pledged to reconcile the factions in the Party, in order to win back the lost Parliamentary seat in 2024.
The Deputy CEO highlighted his plans for residents of Wenchi Constituency including the creation of employment for the youth, massive development of Agriculture, Health, and Education among other key sectors of the economy.
" I have offered myself for the party and country from my youthful days to serve my people. I am pleading with delegates in Wenchi Constituency to vote massively for me during the Parliamentary Primaries" he canvassed.
Mr Ali Awudu, the Wenchi Constituency Chairman of the NPP, who received the nomination forms, advised various Aspirants and their followers to do clean campaign devoid of insults and lies, in order to capture the lost seat.
